Roy A. Jacobs is a partner in the Firm’s Corporate Department. Mr. Jacobs' practice concentrates on a wide area of transactional matters, ranging from mergers and acquisitions to start-ups, from private offerings and financings to licensing of intellectual property.
Mr. Jacobs has represented clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, industrial products, record companies and theatrical producers, as well as numerous individual entrepreneurs.
Mr. Jacobs graduated from New York University School of Law in 1972. He obtained a Masters in taxation from the same school in 1976. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1969.
Mr. Jacobs is admitted to practice in the State of New York, District of Columbia, the United States Court for the Southern District of New York and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and was the editor of and a contributor to Volume IV of Abstracts of Supreme Court Decisions Interpreting the Interstate Commerce Act.
