Jennifer S. Smith is Of Counsel in the firm’s Litigation Department.
Ms. Smith primarily focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation in both the New York State Courts and the Federal Courts in cases involving commercial contract disputes, business torts, and uniform commercial code violations. She is also regularly engaged in complex litigation issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Smith was an associate with Blank Rome LLP, Satterlee Stephens Burke & Burke LLP, and Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP. Immediately after law school, Ms. Smith was a Briefing Attorney for Chief Judge Thomas Phillips of the Supreme Court of Texas. Prior to her legal career, Ms. Smith worked as an investigative journalist for The Evening Telegram, St. Johns, Newfoundland.
Ms. Smith is a graduate of Harvard College, A.B., magna cum laude, 1992 and Harvard Law School, J.D., cum laude, 2000. At Harvard Law Ms. Smith was a member of the Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review and Prison Legal Assistance Project. At Harvard College, she was a member of the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra and the Radcliffe Crew.
